Is my information confidential?


Psychologists are under a duty of care to maintain the confidentiality of all information that comes to them in the course of their relationship with clients.

David delivers psychological services in line with the principles of professional conduct, responsibilities and confidentiality, as set out and monitored by the APS in its Code of Ethics. In this, General Principle A.5 states that:

Psychologists safeguard the confidentiality of information obtained during their provision of psychological services.


Psychologists disclose confidential information obtained in the course of their provision of psychological services only

  • with the consent of the relevant client or a person with legal authority to act on behalf of the client;
  • where there is a legal obligation to do so;
  • if there is an immediate and specified risk of harm to an identifiable person or persons that can be averted only by disclosing information.


Psychologists are required to inform their clients of the limits of confidentiality.


David works to provide clients with a non-judgemental and supportive experience. His services are professional and confidential.
